The Atlantic Building, a former office building, sits directly across the street from The Kimmel Performing Arts Center on the Avenue of the Arts in Philadelphia.

The building was acquired in 2012 for conversion to apartments and Coscia Moos Architecture was asked to design a new residential entrance in an area that was once the loading dock.

The second floor gym space projects out over the sidewalk in an exaggerated gesture which makes the building more visible from all sides. The upper level roof terrace is oriented to maximize views down the street over the sloped townhouse roofs below.
